Comments Off on Linen versus Hand Woven Khadi Shirts: Which is Better?
Category:
Khadi
One of the most popular materials in India since its introduction, Khadi is often compared to Linen, even though they are completely different fabrics. Linen is made from the fibers of flax plants, which must be imported from China or France and then prepared on modern mechanical looms. Khadi, on the other hand, can still and often is made the old-fashioned way, by hand. This eco-friendly clothing for men is also much less expensive than linen.
Because it is harder and more costly to harvest and to work with, linen is up to three times more expensive than Khadi. It is also more harmful to the environment, which should be an important consideration in the modern age.
At DivineRay, we are committed to Khadi for both contemporary and traditional reasons. We appreciate the fact that it is a fabric of freedom that played an important role in the birth of a new nation. We also adore that it can be produced using sustainable materials and methods. All of our eco-friendly clothing for men is hand woven and dyed. They are packaged in free tote backpacks and shipped completely free of charge. We even donate 10 percent of our profits to charity!
